I joined the RISD STEAM club as a freshman at RISD, and grew into the role of VP and later President. Over the course of my time with RISD I helped grow the organization to have branches at MIT and Yale, and organize & teach several events at RISD related to integrated design and technology projects.
I designed Catalogue Two, which documents everything we did in Spring 2014. Click to read the full .pdf on Issuu.
I did some illustrations and assisted in art direction, project management, and other silly ways for Catalogue Three. Design and Development credit goes to Barron Webster. Click the think to read about all the things that we did in Fall 2014
In the "Pointless Machines" workshop inspired by Arthur Gansen, students learned elementary physical computing skills to create their own kinematic sculptures.
In the "From the Bottom of my Fuel Cell" workshops, students worked with mentors from IDEO to design wearable technology that might assist a variety of different types of people. Here we see Prat Ganapathy from IDEO prototyping a shoulder-tapping based navigation system with Digital Media Student Alex Stewart.
Here, an Industrial Design student, a Painting major, and a student from Brown collaborate on the design of a shoe with storage space in it that might be of use to people that have a hard time keeping track of things! Students learned about rapid prototyping and collaboration.
One of the events I was the most proud of was the workshop series and talk I invited Theo Jansen to come to. Please read the full post about it in my blog if you're interested.
This is a photo from the Human + Computer class I co-taught over Wintersession & IAP in 2014. Please read more about it in the project dedicated to it.
